KNOWLEDGEBEAT
“Educate Children. Transform Communities.”

A Vital Mission

Educate children in rural Zambia through community driven programs that serve local needs such as girls advancement, health, and the environment.

An Influential Vision

Knowledge is a sustainable resource. It is transferable, recyclable and additive. We capitalize on Knowledge to address the root causes of poverty through better education, health and environment. We give young generations of Zambians the foundation to advance through school and succeed throughout their lives. We envision a Zambia where girls have equal opportunities to boys, where HIV/AIDS is a thing of the past, where people utilize environmental resources sustainably. We envision a Zambia whose future rests with highly talented, driven and educated young women and men.

A Knowledge Based Approach

Our programs are designed to create sustainble change through knowledge transfer and growth. We select and train local facilitators who work with our staff to create and implement educational programs for the children we serve.

1. KnowledgeCenters: Spaces for learning whether standalone buildings or individual rooms. We provide books, computers and other learning materials. We also run our localized programs such as environmental education, mentorship sessions and community development out of the centers.

2. KnowledgeCamps: A series of free camps for middle school age children that address high risk issues. Our seven day Girls Empowerment camp teaches young women the importance of financial and social self-reliance. Our three day HIV/AIDS camps teach prevention, including teen pregnancy avoidance and basic hygiene.

3. Scholarships: We offer full and partial scholarships to high performing students to attend secondary school. We focus our efforts on girls, and we place our recipients in the best boarding schools in Zambia.
