A Quiet Neighborhood

Christine and I used to live smack in the middle of downtown Palo Alto. She works in brand marketing and commutes to Santa Clara while I mostly work at home as an investor and hands-on consultant to seed-stage tech companies. We found downtown Palo Alto convenient and fun but noisy. Nevertheless, we decided to add a little urban spice to our lives so we bought a condo in San Francisco as a weekend place. Much to our surprise, it turned out to be a quiet refuge thanks to double-pained windows, even though it was under the Bay Bridge! Still, we found that we were using it less and less over time. So we began to think about severing our city ties and finding our refuge in a quieter Palo Alto location. One day we were discussing this with friends who immediately gave us an absolutely glowing recommendation of Katy to sell our San Francisco place. It turned out to be her infectious enthusiasm and obvious competence that spurred us to go on the market immediately. Amazingly, Katy helped us sell 403 Main Street within a few days and we bought our home in Palo Alto in the same short time-frame! The closing was also a piece of cake. Katy introduced us to an exceptional mortgage broker who facilitated the whole financial side without a hitch. Despite the quick sale, we got a price we were pleased with - less than our wildest dreams but way above our threshold.

Our new Palo Alto home - almost exactly a mile from the old one - is a small bungalow built in 1951, in great shape and nicely landscaped. It is the refuge we were both seeking and even cuts Christine's drive time by a bit. This little jewel is definitely the right home for us and we couldn't be happier!

There was simply nothing Katy could have done better - she was great in every respect!
